Vacancies: Bank Supply Team Play Assistants
We are currently looking for people to join our Bank Supply Team at our Playgroup located at Eastington Community Centre, Snakey Lane, Eastington, Stonehouse.
Our Bank Supply Staff are hugely valued for the support that they provide to our permanent playgroup staff. We are looking for enthusiastic play assistants, working as part of our friendly team, to provide interesting activities to help children develop and learn through play.
Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you would be asked to cover staff holidays and sickness absences on an occasional basis, and provide an extra pair of hands on our busier days. This is excellent experience for anyone interested in a career working with children.

Main duties would include:
• Setting up play equipment and making sure play areas are safe.
• Preparing snacks for the children.
• Help to supervise children for positive behaviour during play, dealing with any minor injuries.
• Model and encourage good social skills, e.g. strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ensure that children are safe and that their everyday needs are met.
• Engage in positive interaction with children to build confidence and self-esteem.
Key Skills & Requirements
• Love working with children and are good ‘team players’
• Reliable and flexible
• Good communication skills are essential
• Childcare qualifications/experience is preferred, but not essential, as a full induction will be provided.
• This position is subject to obtaining an enhanced DBS disclosure and registering with the DBS update Service.
